Technology is everywhere! This includes educational settings. Students are using technology to communicate, learn and function. Students have a very powerful tool in technology but do they understand the responsibilities that come with using that tool? Students at any level need to know how to safely and responsibly use the technology in their hands to protect themselves and others. Even the most responsible student could potentially get themselves in a dangerous situation. We cannot assume that students understand the concept of Digital Citizenship in regards to 21st century learning. The rules and responsibilities of technology change daily with every new technology that is created. Students are not only users of this technology but also creators in this Web 2.0 world.
